World star Kim Hyun-joong held a free live performance, “Kim Hyun-joong Heat 2012 in Japan” at the Saitama Super Arena for two days to celebrate the release of his second Japanese single HEAT. Despite being an exclusive event for fans who bought his album, the event drew a total of 30,000 fans during the two days.
There was an hour delay for the first show because Kim Hyun-joong had a sore throat due to his busy schedule involving filming a new drama called City Conquest as well as a slew of other fan events, and had to visit a doctor.
Nevertheless, the singer appeared on stage and performed a total of 15 songs, including his Japanese debut single “Kiss Kiss”, his newest single “HEAT” which topped the Oricon singles chart and “Lucky Guy”.
Kim Hyun-joong said “people can climb up, but also have to prepare to come down. However, I’m still young so I want to climb up about 20 times how much I’ve climbed so far. I’ll do my best to reach my goals.”
Meanwhile, Kim will also be giving a special performing at the Chichibunomiya National Rugby Field for the 2012 Jingu Gaien Fireworks Festival on August 10th. [Yonhap]
