A new waxwork figure of Taiwan pop singer Jay Chou (周杰倫) has gone on display at Hong Kong’s Madame Tussauds wax museum.
Jay holds a microphone and is dressed in a metallic silver jacket and silver trousers, from his “The Era World Concert Tour” in 2010.
The museum said the new figure was put on display to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Snake.
The museum’s first wax figure of Jay was unveiled in October 2006. However, the model, clad in a leisure suit and standing by a white piano, disappointed many fans of the pop star at that time — as they said it didn’t look like him.
In a bid to ensure the quality of the new model, Jay’s chief hairstylist, Emily Lin, oversaw the figure’s hair cut, according to the museum.
