Ara Mina has filed libel and grave coercion charges against younger half-sister Cristine Reyes at the Quezon City Regional Trial Court in the afternoon of April 18, 2012.
The dispute between the siblings allegedly stemmed from disagreements over the remaining balance for a house the two bought for their mother.
According to Ara’s lawyer, Cristine wanted her older sister to turn over her SUV as payment for the remaining balance of the house. Ara Mina insisted, however, that Cristine only paid the P1-million down payment while she paid the rest of the balance that amounted to P2.3-million.
Ara said she’s suing Cristine due to her attitude.
Cristine has allegedly been sending her defamatory text messages like, “I’m sure ibebenta mo ‘yang laspag mong katawan na pinagsawaan na ng lahat. Daig pa aso sa sobrang kati.”
“Buong Holy Week, hindi niya ako tinantanan. Hanggang ngayon nagte-text siya sa sister-in-law ko. Pati ibang tao dinadamay na niya.”
No statement has been issued yet from Cristine’s camp. Her manager, Viva’s Veronique del Rosario, said they’re still waiting for a copy of the complaint before doing so.
